The Inn at Bald Head Island

A ten-suite, adults-only inn overlooking the marina in Harbour Village: breakfast and an afternoon social hour, bikes and beach gear to borrow, and guest access to both island clubs.
The Inn at Bald Head Island sits on Keelson Row in Harbour Village, overlooking the marina, with Old Baldy in view and the harbour’s restaurants a few steps away. It has ten suites, eight in the main house and two in a small cottage behind it, each with its own bath and a balcony or deck. Innkeepers Dann and Gail Jackson have run it since 2017.
The stay is more inclusive than most on the island. Breakfast is served every morning, there’s an afternoon social hour with wine and hors d’oeuvres, and bikes and beach gear are there to borrow. Guests also get access to both the Bald Head Island Club and the Shoals Club during their stay, something rental homes don’t include automatically. It’s an adults-only inn, which suits couples and friends traveling together.

Good to know
- Adults only: every guest must be 21 or older.
- No pets and no smoking.
- Golf carts cost extra, $75 a day; add one when you book or by phone.
- Your ferry ticket isn't included. Book the ferry and tram yourself, and the tram brings you and your bags to the Inn.
- A 50% deposit is due at booking, and cancellations inside 14 days aren't refunded.

Golf cart rentals from a hut by the ferry landing: 4- and 6-passenger carts (some enclosed) by the day or longer, booked online and picked up when you arrive. Renters must be 21 with a license.
