Coastal Urge
Rentals and outfitting on Maritime Way: bikes, beach chairs and umbrellas, paddleboards, kayaks, and surf lessons, plus a store stocked with Patagonia, YETI, and Lilly Pulitzer.

Coastal Urge is part outfitter, part store. From its shop at 12B Maritime Way, next door to the Silver Peddler, it rents most of what a beach week runs on: cruiser bikes in every size, beach chairs and umbrellas, coolers, bodyboards, and foam surfboards. It will set up chairs and an umbrella for you by mid-morning at Beach Access 18 or Access 42, and one flat fee covers delivery and pickup of whatever you rent.
On the water, paddleboards and kayaks go out from the marina on Keelson Row, on your own or with a guide on an hour-long marsh tour, and surf lessons meet at Access 42. The retail side carries outdoor and resort brands, among them Patagonia, YETI, Lilly Pulitzer, Barbour, and Maui Jim.
What you'll find
- Electra cruiser bikes in adult and kids' sizes, tandems, child seats, and trailers
- Beach chairs, umbrellas, and coolers, plus a daily chair-and-umbrella setup at Access 18 or 42
- Bodyboards, skimboards, foam surfboards, and cornhole
- Self-guided paddleboard and kayak rentals from the marina
- Guided kayak marsh tours and paddleboard tours
- Surf lessons at Beach Access 42, private or small group
- Patagonia, YETI, Lilly Pulitzer, Barbour, Maui Jim, and Tommy Bahama in the shop
Good to know
- One flat $25 fee covers delivery and pickup of everything you rent; book deliveries 24 hours ahead.
- Paddleboard and kayak trips launch from the kayak storage area on Keelson Row at the marina, not from the shop.
- Paddleboarders must be 10 or older; younger kids can ride along on an adult's board.
- Bikes run about $25 a day and self-guided paddleboards start at $30 an hour on the booking site.
- A guardian must stay for surf lessons with riders 16 and under.
