Sweet Bay Cafe is the counter-service cafe inside the Maritime Market, serving breakfast and lunch every day. Mornings bring breakfast plates, build-your-own biscuits, burritos, and biscuits and gravy. At lunch there’s a daily hot bar special alongside smash burgers, a sweet tea fried chicken sandwich, wings, and pizza by the slice.
The name has some history. The market’s owners once ran a Sweet Bay Cafe at the Deep Point ferry terminal, and some island guides still call this one Sweet Bay Gourmet. Order at the counter or online, and check the grab-and-go case for sushi, house-made salads and dips, and fresh citrus juices.
