The Silver Peddler takes its name from a young entrepreneur who, back in 1999, sold silver jewelry off the back of her boat in the Bald Head Island harbor. Islanders started calling her the silver peddler, and the name stuck when the shop found a home on Maritime Way.
Today it is a jewelry and gift shop stocked with coastal-inspired pieces from more than 130 artisans, beach-themed home decor made to hold up in the salt air, accessories, and custom designs. You will find it right next to Maritime Market, a short golf cart ride up from the marina.
