Riverside Adventure Company sits at 10 Marina Wynd, steps from the ferry terminal, and it’s really two businesses. The storefront is a clothing and gift shop, with resort wear for the whole family, jewelry, toys, and custom apparel. The rentals run under the name Riverside Outdoor Recreation: bikes and e-bikes, surfboards, beach chairs and umbrellas, and kayaks and paddleboards for exploring Bald Head Creek and Fishing Creek.
Guided kayak tours leave from the Kayak Shack in Marina Park, with launch times set by the tide, and the guides point out wildlife and island history along the way. The family behind Riverside has been in business on the island for more than 40 years, and its golf carts now rent separately as Island Adventure Cart Rentals, right next door.
