Island Time Medical and Wellness

Also known as Island Time

The island's medical practice: urgent care for everyday illnesses and minor injuries, house calls, IV hydration, and memberships, run by a nurse practitioner. Direct pay, no insurance.

Island Time Medical and Wellness is the island’s medical practice, and the Village lists it as the place to go for non-emergency care. Nurse practitioner Lou Ann Earnhardt, a former critical care nurse, runs it from Edward Teach Extension, where a sign out front advertises urgent care with walk-ins welcome.

It treats the things that tend to go wrong on vacation: colds and flu, strep throat, ear and urinary infections, sprains, cuts that need stitching, and bites and stings. It also makes house calls, offers IV hydration, and sells memberships for residents and summer visitors. It’s direct pay, with no insurance billing, so ask about cost when you book. For anything serious, call 911.
