A full-service spa and salon on Maritime Way: massage, facials and HydraFacials, a private infrared sauna, nails, hair, chiropractic and acupuncture, and barre, yoga, and Pilates classes.
Island Retreat Spa & Salon sits on Maritime Way under the maritime forest canopy, and it covers far more than the name suggests. Alongside massage, facials, and a full salon for hair and nails, there’s a private infrared sauna, a wellness practice offering chiropractic care, acupuncture, and cupping, and a schedule of barre, yoga, and Pilates classes.
Owner and spa director Katie Guthrie also runs Seaward Spa in Wilmington. Couples can book side by side in the couples suite, groups and wedding parties can take over with spa day packages, and day visitors can come across on the ferry for weekday Day Tripper specials in the cooler months. Good to know
- Cancel at least 24 hours ahead; later cancellations are charged in full.
- Arrive 15 minutes early for your first visit.
- Kids 3 to 12 can book hair and nails; teens 13 to 17 can book a massage or facial with a parent's consent.
- Coming over for the day? Book a ferry that lands at least an hour before your appointment. Weekday Day Tripper packages, mid-September to mid-March, include the ferry.
- Early or late appointments can be arranged with 48 hours' notice.
